Austin brings a bit of “Iowa Nice” to the Quillin team having grown up in Des Moines, IA and attending Iowa State University where he worked for the Men’s Basketball program as a student manager, landed a PR internship with Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas and graduated with a degree in Public Relations.
Upon graduation, he moved back to Las Vegas taking a position on Caesars Entertainment’s Corporate Public Relations team where he assisted in major corporate initiatives like the opening of Horseshoe Casino – Baltimore, the company’s veterans hiring initiative, ‘Enlisting Heroes,’ as well as supporting national and international communication efforts.
Austin additionally held marketing roles within Caesars Entertainment at The LINQ and High Roller where he assisted in all aspects of property marketing as well as supportive marketing efforts for all LINQ Promenade tenants including Brooklyn Bowl, O’Sheas Casino, Goorin Bros. Hat Shop, Flour & Barley Brick Oven Pizza, ameriCAN Beer and Cocktails, among others. Austin produced the LINQ’s successful “LINQ Originals” social video campaign which gave fans an inside look at the individuals who work every day to make the LINQ experience possible.
Most recently, Austin was the Event Manager at the South Point Arena where he supervised the arena’s 30-member guest services staff, developed relationships with the arena’s show clients and planned and executed approximately 300 event days per year. Austin also led communication efforts for the arena, managing the arena’s social presence and overseeing the arena’s relationship with the PR Agency providing support to the South Point complex.
When Austin isn’t pitching stories or writing press releases, you can find him on a basketball court raining 3’s and playing suspect defense, determining which passport stamp he should get next or exploring Las Vegas with his camera in hand.
